Opportunities Director:

Escape HQ London

Jobs, careers and opportunities are all changing fast. A new 21st Century Career is emerging and Escape is at the forefront of this change. This role is to head up our opportunities business and take it to the next level.

The ideal person would have experience running a recruitment community business model with at least £1-2m in revenue.

Lead Brand Designer

Are you up for leading on brand design across the whole of the business, from our website to offline graphic content, to our physical venue?

Work areas to include
- Online: Website design + UX, workflow diagrams, wireframes, simple user testing, managing freelance developers to implement designs
- Content marketing: Infographics design, layout design, social media assets
- Tribe curriculum materials: guidebooks, games, business canvases etc.
- Email marketing: newsletter design
- Video / motion graphics
- Unconventional PR 
- Print Ads / Posters
- Merchandise design and more

Your Key Skills:
- You can use Adobe Creative Suite in your sleep
- You love UX and UI design and love mocking up wireframes and web spec pages
- You're very familiar with brand identity and working within brand guidelines
- You're familiar with social design and creating shareable content
- You instantly visualise quantitative and qualitative data as images
- You're eager to learn what you don't already know
Bonus points:

Social Media Marketer

We have a big mission to share with the world, and a growing community to serve. We’re looking for someone who can harness the power of social media to strengthen Escape’s brand, share ideas and spread our message - so that we can help more and more people to find work they love.

Key responsibilities

Being the voice of Escape on social media: Day-to-day management of all of Escape’s social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) - including content sharing, conversations, and campaigns

Being the internal expert on all things social media: Ongoing analysis of our different channels, campaigns and content types - shared regularly with the marketing team to guide strategy.

Work areas will include:
- Scheduling posts across channels
- Listening, responding to social media messages, engaging in community conversation
- Delivering great customer service to community members who contact us via social
- Reaching out to Big Friends, forging relationships
- Spending time analysing and learning from other brands
- Talking to content creators to guide content production for social media
- Keeping up-to-speed on the latest social media data trends Tracking analytics and creating basic internal data reports to guide strategy

About you:


- Are an avid (obsessive?!) social media user with excellent real-life knowledge and understanding of different channels (specific deep understanding of hacking LinkedIn is a big plus).
- Have awesome research skills: know where to find awesome content and how to use tools to support this.
- Love reading online: a natural browser of the web, with an inbox full of great newsletters
- Are a natural learner: always keen to seek out great examples and role models in the world of social media, and distill learnings from them.
- Aren’t afraid of hustling: use social to network with big friends, influencers, and progressive thinkers.
- Are a natural born reporter: have an appetite and energy for being involved in everything at Escape and sharing it with the world via social media.
- Are organised, systematic, and happy creating and running streamlined processes.
- Like to experiment, test, measure and learn: don’t accept the received way of doing things and are always looking for the next level up.
- Love measurement, rigour and working with targets: a basic understanding of acquisition and engagement metrics and a natural focus on measuring the impact of all social media activity.

Your key skills
- Communication expertise: experience writing in different registers and comfortable working with brand tone guidelines. Degree in relevant subject.
- Experience in executing effective social media campaigns: planning, editing, publishing and measuring
- Analytics: basic experience of working with social analytics tools - implementing tests and analysing results to build traction. Customer service: being a friendly and attentive ear, with a positive energy for addressing lots of queries.
- Competence in Keynote: to create assets.
- Ability to do basic design is also a plus.
- Productivity ninja: comfortable using tools like Buffer/Hootsuite/Zapier/Pocket.
- Data reporting: able to sift through data to find insights and create simple headline reports to share with the team and guide social media strategy.

Years’ experience:1+ years, ideally in an established or fast-growing startup, or social enterprise.

Communications Lead

We’re looking for someone to take over the communications engine of Escape the City, to ensure that our +250k community members always know about the best way we can help them find work they love. With a growing global user base and an evolving range of products, you’ll be responsible for creating and implementing a communications plan that takes Escape to the next level.

Key responsibilities

Being on point for all outgoing email comms: From Sales campaigns and product announcements to weekly community newsletters, you’ll be responsible for writing, testing and targeting all Escape’s email messaging with the right content to the right audience.

Being master of the email ecosystem and audiences: Working with the Head of Marketing and the Analytics team, you’ll have ownership of the email database management - so you can create hyper-targeted campaigns and speak directly to specific groups in the Esc community about the best way we can help them.

Work areas will include:

- Being responsible for ensuring high quality across all comms (newsletters, campaigns, web copy, social channels)
- Helping to design Sales campaign strategies for a range of products
- Writing all Sales campaign emails
- Talking to content creators to guide content production for email comms across campaigns and audiences
- Writing individual email comms announcements (new products, local announcements, one-off community news mailouts)
- Writing and sending Escape’s bi-weekly community newsletters
- Developing a deep understanding of our user base and audiences, in order to best serve them through communications
- Understanding the mailing list in-depth (navigating, managing and measuring) and creating targeted audiences
- Constantly optimising the mailing list ecosystem
- Keeping up to speed on the latest email marketing trends
- Tracking engagement metrics and reporting back internally to the team
